Marble Arch Caves are the result of thousands of years of erosion by water through the limestone rock. The Cladagh River makes its way down from the Cuilcagh Mountains and disappears underground here, shaping the majestic cave passages. Other water seeps through the cave roof slowly forming the stalagtites and other formations that make the caves so interesting.
